NEST x YALE LOCK

CONCEPT, ART DIRECTION

The Nest x Yale lock is the solution to all of your modern day key problems, with keyless entry, personalized codes and an app that tracks who comes and goes. As with all projects, my favorite idea from the larger concept is one that may never see the light of day: a series of animated social shorts that tell humorous stories of being locked out, inspired by real—and ridiculous—situations.

“One night, my roommate came home from a night out and had forgotten his keys. He decided to stick his hand in the mail slot to try to unlock the door. It took us two hours to get his hand unstuck.”

“I was living in New York with my husband a couple years ago. One night I came home late from a work party and realized I had forgotten my keys. My husband was passed out cold and didn’t wake up no matter how much I banged on the door. I ended up crashing in my car (which was parked on the street) until morning.”
